Supplementary charges apply only to children accessing government-funded childcare, as the funding does not cover the cost of meals or certain care-related consumables. These charges help us provide nutritious meals, nappies, wipes, sun cream, nappy rash cream, soap, tissues, and other essential hygiene products used throughout your child's day.

At Milestones Day Nursery. we accept working parent entitlement, both 15-hour and 30-hour government-funded childcare places, subject to current eligibility criteria and funding guidelines. Our team is happy to help you understand your entitlement and guide you through the application process to ensure you receive the funding available to your family.
Funding Options
Families can choose to use their funded childcare hours as either non-stretched (term-time only) or stretched funding across the full year.
Non-Stretched: Eligible families can use their 30 hours of funded childcare over 38 weeks of the school year (term time only).
Stretched: Eligible families can spread their 30-hour entitlement across the 50 weeks that the nursery is open, equating to approximately 23 funded hours per week. Please note that this does not include bank holidays or our planned Christmas closure.
